Quirky Details to Add to Your Big Day
Often times, clients will ask us for ideas on how to make their wedding stand out and be unique. Here are some of our favorite personal and quirky details for your big day.
Skip the standard guest book and try one of these fun options.
Have people sign a globe and put a heart around the location of your wedding.
Collect 3-5 bottles of wine that can be aged. Guests can sign them with metallic sharpies and you can open the bottles on your landmark anniversaries (1st, 5th, 10th…). Your anniversaries will be extra special when enjoying a wine that is as old as your marriage.
Not everyone prefers the same treats. This eclectic mix of jelly jars gives people their choice of something sweet or savory to end the night with.
Don’t want something edible? Give your guests something practical instead. Check out these antique keys, which happen to also be bottle openers that we used at our client’s wedding last month in Sonoma.
If you’re holding your ceremony outdoors in the summer, give your guests something to stay comfortable. Sunglasses are a fun touch, and ceremony program fans will keep your guests cool while giving them a guide to follow for the ceremony.
The “Wow” Factor:
If your super crafty and handy with a hammer, these two projects are sure to impress your guests.
Beer aficionados will love sampling craft brews from your own personal bar tap. After the wedding, it will be a great addition to your hubby’s man cave.
Buy a sturdy board and coat with lively wallpaper to make your own Photo Booth. Cut out different shaped openings and surround them with metallic paint or frames. Buy a polaroid and some fun Mrs. and Mr. props and your ready to go!
